About the company:

A privately held, leading utility construction firm providing critical infrastructure for the Power, Communications, Oil & Gas Pipeline, and Gas Distribution industries.

The Project Manager I will have the following day to day responsibilities:

  • Plans, monitors, and reports project status and performance data to management and stakeholders.
  • Provides project-related management for small to mid-scale construction projects across various markets within an assigned Region or Division (West Coast)
  • Manage all phases of construction project lifecycle
  • Provides direct support to other functional project teams in the planning and execution of the job including resolving issues, managing resources, coordinating projects, interfacing with client representatives, overseeing project accounting, training, mentoring and coaching.
  • Manage third party performance and results
  • Anticipate potential implications of current work and makes proactive decisions to ensure efficient productivity and completion of project
  • Ensures that team goals, roles, protocols, and business relationships are consistent with high-performance requirements and congruent with the company's strategy
  • Manage P+L

The applicant should meet these minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical) or Construction Management
  • Minimum of 4 years experience managing projects within power delivery, construction or utilities (PM II should have at least 6 years of exp)
  • Experience managing Transmission Power Construction projects is required
  • Experience managing a P&L is ideal for a PM I and required for a PM II
  • Comfortable with basic accounting practices
  • Experience managing budgets, time and materials
  • Ability to communicate to multiple stakeholders across varying levels within the organization
  • Team oriented
